The Fasting Festival Incorporated is a fasting and prayer retreat which comes up from the Friday before Christmas to Saturday after Christmas every year. During Easter, Fasting Retreats are organised by participants in various locations. The Festival and Retreats are open to Christians from all denominations. Participants are free to undertake fasting for as long as they choose. During the Festival or Retreat, no food is served day and night until the evening of the day on which the Festival or Retreat ends. Individuals may attend the Festival or Retreat without fasting but they must make private arrangement for their meals. During the Festival or Retreat biblical exhortation is given by many ministers. The Festival or Retreat is a time of prayers, meditation, thanksgiving, and reflection. A time of deep fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
